Request a temporary debit card limit increase

Need a temporary increase to your debit card limit? Submit a request through Online Banking or the GFA mobile app.

How to request an increase

  1. Sign in to Online Banking or open the GFA mobile app.
  2. Select Debit Cards > Increase Card Limit.
  3. Choose the debit card you want to update.
  4. Complete the request form, including:
    • The temporary limit amount
    • The date the increase should end
  5. Submit your request.

Important details

  • You can request up to $6,000 for ATM withdrawals and $6,000 for debit card purchases.
  • The increase usually takes effect in less than one minute.
  • You can request an increase only for a card in your own name—not a joint owner’s card.
  • The increase is temporary and ends automatically on the date you select.
  • The end date cannot be later than the next business day.
  • For an increase above $6,000 or for a longer period, call us or visit a branch.
